Here it is. The first egg of 2015. I had just refilled the quart-size feeder with oyster shell and scattered some in the yard for the girls to peck at when they are outside in this relatively mild weather we’ve been enjoying (20s and 30s F).
The days are getting longer and all the hens have their new feathers. I also noticed in the past week that the girls were showing new interest in eating the oyster shell I always have available in the coop.
The first egg of the year is our first taste of spring. Begonia
